Welcome to a Tribute to Molly

[Molly with squeeky]

January 1984 to April 1997

Molly, was a wonderfull companion and friend. She was a black labrador, but she was a big girl. As she stood by your side, you could pet her head with out bending over too far. She was 13 years old and weighed 92 pounds the spring she died. She lived a good long life and she was not that over weight.

To many, she was not the most friendly dog. But once she got to know you, and she wanted to play or be scratched, there was no stopping her. Even in her last few months, she loved to play with her squeeky toys, go for a partol around our meadow, and play catch with her tennis ball.

Here are some pictures of Molly that I "snapped" off video. I have more pictures, just have not had the time to scan them in.

Molly loved her fuzzy squeeky toys. Here she is playing with her squeeky and getting a tummy rub from Roy.

She also loved to pull the fuzzy off her squeeky toys. Here she is in the process of doing just that, getting fuzzy stuck on the end of her nose, and then with a satisfied smile.

Early in 1997 I decided to make her a safety vest. It was a mild winter, and when Roy and I would go into the woods, she would follow. Her black coat was sometimes hard to see in the woods. So we made her this vest to make her more visible. The hat she is wearing is mine.

Molly was such a good girl, she would stand in the driveway while I would give her a bath. We have hot and cold water outlets in the garage. Whether she really liked it or not, I will never know. She was never fond of swimming, even if her breed is supposed to be great at it.

Molly is greatly missed, and we will never be able to replace her. But we have a new lab puppy, Holly, to liven up our home. See Holly's page.
